I saw the footage of them cheering this idea on. So the party of anti-intellectualism (see: "A Beer With Bush" and "Run Sarah Run") wants to require a civics test to vote? Interesting.

Let them have it, guarantee they'd lose more Republican votes than Democratic votes.

I hope so. I hope the Teabaggers split the conservative vote and let us thump on them for the next 4-8 years.

It is, in short, a group of conservatives that feel that the Republicans aren't conservative enough and so are organizing party takeovers.

I usually go for the more simple definition: they're a group of stupid white people who've been whipped into a frenzy by the more paranoid factions of the party using racism, fear, and lies. I doubt a majority of them really understand what they're supporting. 4 legs good, 2 legs baaaaad.

And when it comes to taxes, I'm betting that an overwhelming majority of them don't realize, or have been bamboozled into thinking that their tax rates would skyrocket with Healthcare legislation, when in fact it's the upper income earners that would pick up most of the tab.

I really liked the comparison made in that BBC audio where it was proposed that this is like the French Revolution in reverse where the peasants are actually yelling "Power to the aristocracy!".
