Just watched Moon again. Man what a great movie. There's a couple parts that really punch you in the gut, even on the second viewing.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone in this thread. Getting a lot of great movie recommendations by going through and rereading it.

Drag Me to Hell - Wow, this movie was bad. I could not get into it at all. 2/10

Inception - Maybe it was too hyped up for me. After reading Roger Ebert's review I really thought I was going to see a really mind blowing film that ranked up there with my first viewing of Fight Club, Pulp Fiction or even Nolan's earlier movie Memento. I didn't. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic film, I just expected way too much. It's kind of like a thinking man's A-Team. But Mike is right, you should definitely check this one out. 9/10

Beer Wars - A pretty cool documentary about the US beer industry and how the big guys (especially Anheiser-Busch) exerts a lot of power that keeps the little guys out. Focus is given to such great breweries as Yuengling, Boston Brewing, Dogfish Head, and Stone (among others). My one main complaint was the filmmaker herself. Although she does have experience in the field (worked for Mike's Hard Lemonade - which she claims is beer), she herself is allergic to alcohol, so its hard to feel that she really understands what makes Sam Adams infinetely better than Bud Light, for example. 8/10 potatoes.

Beer Wars - Agree with Matt for the most part on this. My only real complaint is that in conjunction to the filmmaker's handicaps with alcohol and background she has an insanely annoying voice. Seriously, was Morgan Freeman that busy? When he describes the beer in Shawshank Redemption as "...icy cold Bohemia-style beer" I just want to pop the top off a bottle of brew. Same rating as Matt's.

Hot Tub Time Machine - Pretty funny, but I feel like it could have been a lot better with the cast. 7/10

Book of Eli - Good-lucking, fun action, mostly great cast, but am I seriously supposed to stomach that the Bible is the MOST IMPORTANT BOOK OF ALL TIME?

Brad Pitt attempting to speak Italian in that movie sealed my love for it. It has a lot of other great parts but thats the most memorable for me.

Totally. Just the other day I was talking about the movie with friends and said that that is the part I love best.

Salt: A fun popcorn movie that has some decent action and some fun twists. Worth the matinee price that i paid. Angelina Jolie is also very very hot. 7/10

I can't remember if I said this before, but I watched it again last night, so here it is again, maybe:

Penelope - Extremely sweet. And McAvoy is so hot. I can't believe this movie wasn't bigger. It seems like a movie every female, at least, should enjoy. 9/10 pigs.

Gotta admit, I didn't really love the Julie part. I think I woulda liked the movie much more without it.

Agreed. If I had known Julie Powell during that time period and Amy Adams was portraying her accurately, she would've deserved a good open handed slap. Liked the movie overall though. 7/10

Inception - Hmm. This is a tough one. Let me break this down a little bit. The concept was pretty fucking awesome. Sufficiently complicated to keep you guessing, but explained in a dumbed down way so as to allow pretty much everyone to understand. The acting was decent, but I've never been a big DiCaprio fan and this didn't change my mind. Joseph Gordon Levitt was very good. Probably not the best idea of mine to go see the 10:20 showing, because god damn is this a long movie.

I liked it, I didn't love it, and unlike some of Nolan's other movies, I don't really have a great need to see this again. It's definitely worth seeing though and if you liked the director's other films you will find something to like in this one. 7.5/10

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - We got in to see a sneak peek of this movie for free, otherwise I wouldn't have paid to see it. The previews looked HORRIBLE and I wasn't interested in seeing another dorky, awkward romantic comedy.

That being said, I enjoyed myself much more than I thought I would. It's weakest point is the girl's character (she's like a watered down Clementine from Eternal Sunshine) but the rest of the movie and the secondary characters were rediculously funny. I think the selling point for me was the randomness (he can fly and do Dragon Punches and people pull sledgehammers from purses without a second thought) and all the little easter eggs throughout the movie didn't hurt either (old video game sound effects, video game jokes, etc.) I'm probably being too easy on it, but I give it a solid 8/10 Potatoes

I would probably want to see Scott Pilgrim a lot if it didn't have Michael Cera in it. I can't stand that guy in practically everything he has ever been in. Except Arrested Development. That was good.

Michael Cera was the only watchable part of Juno.

I really just did not like Juno at all. I didn't get what all the hype was about.

I've never seen Juno just because of some interviews I've heard with Diablo Cody, who sounds like a self important cunt.

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore - Want more evidence that there is no god? Check this shit out. It was really fucking hot out and I was looking for an excuse to spend 90 minutes in air conditioning. I fell asleep through the middle part and I don't think I missed much. 1/10
