The Potato Farm

For those of us who were huge nerds in High School during the mid-90's (Hey Chris, what's up), you remember the X-Files. But I also remembered this little one season show.

I found the first (and last) season on Torrents an I watched it again.

Basically it's about a group of rag-tag misfits in the Marine Corps fighting aliens in space. Some of the episodes were a little cheesy, too light-hearted, and this show suffers from Red-Shirt Syndrome big time. However, it's overall mood and setting is dark and ominous, and the enemy is left fairly enigmatic until the end which keeps you coming back for more.

The show was originally suppose to run 5 seasons, but I'm guessing budget concerns got the show axed earlier than expected. So the final show does help conclude some aspects, but still leaves you hanging on a lot of unanswered questions.

I was a huge nerd in high school, but I didn't catch this. Perhaps I'll check it out sometime.

Another GREAT nerd-ish show that only ran for a short time was Freakylinks. I was extremely disappointed when that was canceled.

Whatever happened to Ethan Embry?

He got fat. But then he got thin again, I think.

He played one of the very few of House's patients to actually die at the end of the episode.

Was he fat at the time of death?

I think he got thin before the episode. I think that was how I found out he got thin again.

I often get him confused with this guy, who was also in an episode of House.
