So you've got a box of food from your local Chinese take-out place. What's in that bad boy?

I'm a huge fan of broccoli (and other veggies too, I guess) in garlic sauce. I get this just about every time I order Chinese food. Also, I love egg drop soup.

The other day I had General Tso's Tofu, and it was amazing. I'm not sure what they did to the tofu to get it this way, but it was really rubbery (it even squeaked a little when you chewed it) which was great.

Something about take-out Chinese white rice is super nice too. It's long grain rice, but somehow it's sorta sticky and yummy.

Our local place has a really good dish (called Buddah's Delight or something) consisting of Black Forest Mushrooms and Bok Choy in a sweet brown sauce. It's really good. We also got a menu on our front door the other day for a new place which has extensive vegetarian options, so I'm excited to try that.

I don't care much for chinese take out, but I love Garden Cafe, a vegetarian chinese resturant on the other side of town. Its menu is similar to that or a normal chinese restuarant, but everything is vegetarian. I love the orange chicken. The orange beef, dumplings, swwet and sour chicken, beef with brocoli, and eel are also really good.

General Tso's Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken

What can I say? I'm a traditionalist.
